Price Match

A Twist of Lime | Version PM-2026-11

Price Match

Found a lower quote for the same event? Send it to us before you reserve, and if it qualifies, we will match its comparable service price.

The short version: the quote must be written and itemized, for the same event (date, location, guest count, hours and number of bartenders and servers), from a mobile bartending business with a business license and insurance at least equal to ours (listed below), and sent to us before you submit your Reservation Request. We compare service only, without alcohol. We reply in writing within 3 business days. One claim per event; match only.

How it works

  1. Get our quote. Request your personalized quote from A Twist of Lime.
  2. Send us the other quote. Email the competitor's original quote to events@atwistofli.me before you submit your Reservation Request.
  3. Get our written decision. Within 3 business days we tell you whether it qualifies. If it does, we send you a revised quote at the matched price. If it doesn't, we tell you exactly which items differ.

What we compare

We compare service only. We take alcohol out of both quotes. We compare the total service price, including every mandatory fee and service charge other than gratuities, tips and crew charges, which we leave out of both quotes, and before tax. We compare our list price (the card price, before any ACH, domestic wire, check or cash payment discount) with the other quote's price before any payment-method discount. We also leave liquor liability insurance out of both quotes, unless your venue requires it. If it does, both quotes must include it.

Which quotes qualify

The other quote must be:

  • written, itemized and dated, and addressed to you for your event, with the business's quote or reference number or other unique identifier;
  • a firm offer that is dated within the last 30 days and, if it states an expiration date, has not expired when you send it to us;
  • showing the business's name and phone or email, and the event date, venue address and service start and end times;
  • consistent with any contract or other document the business issued for the same event (same service and same total). Tell us with your claim if one exists. If they differ, we use the contract total and may ask the business to confirm;
  • from a mobile bartending business that holds a current business license and carries at least our standard insurance: general liability of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, workers' compensation as required by California law, and auto liability covering the vehicles used for the event, including hired and non-owned vehicles. You must attach the business's current certificate of insurance showing this to your claim. If it is missing, you have 3 business days after we ask to send it;
  • if your venue has written insurance requirements for the event and you send them with your claim, from a business whose certificate meets them: limits, additional-insured wording, endorsements, and liquor liability insurance if the venue requires it;
  • for the same date, location, guest count and service hours;
  • for the same number and roles of bartenders and servers;
  • comparable in menu breadth, ingredient quality tier, bar setup and event management;
  • a standard price for your event, not a promotion, membership price, package price, rate card, advertisement or estimate.

Alcohol. We are a dry-hire bartending service and don't sell alcohol. If the other quote bundles or resells alcohol, it qualifies only if the business itemizes the alcohol separately; a quote that includes alcohol without itemizing it does not qualify. Ask them for an itemized version.

Insurance. An equivalent service carries equivalent protection, so we compare coverage as well as price. Our standard policies are listed above. If your venue requires liquor liability insurance or other coverage, a one-event policy is purchased for your event from an insurance provider that offers short-term event policies. Its cost is shown on your quote as an extra line before you accept it. We are a dry-hire service and do not carry liquor liability insurance ourselves. If the other business carries less than our standard coverage, or can't meet your venue's requirements, its quote doesn't qualify. If your venue requires liquor liability insurance, both quotes must include it, itemized. If it doesn't, we leave it out of both.

What doesn't qualify: marketing flyers, price lists, package or menu graphics, blank or template agreement pages with no client, date or venue, tiered rate cards ("from $X for 3–4 hours"), screenshots of a website, Yelp, Instagram, text or DM, receipts, partial proposals and verbal estimates. If it isn't addressed to you for your date with a stated total, it's an advertisement, not a quote.

How to claim

  • The person who will sign our Service Agreement sends the claim, by email to events@atwistofli.me, with the competitor's original quote (the file or email they sent you).
  • Claims must arrive before you submit your Reservation Request. After that, the price is set by your Order.
  • We reply in writing within 3 business days with our decision. If the quote doesn't qualify, we list the specific items that differ.
  • You may send one corrected quote or missing document that fixes an item listed in our written decision, and we review it the same way.
  • If a claim is pending when you submit a Reservation Request, we decide it within 3 business days and, if it qualifies, send a revised quote you may accept or decline under Subject to Availability in our Service Agreement.

What we do

If the quote qualifies, we lower our Service Subtotal so that our total service price, including the Operations Fee, equals the other quote's comparable total. We send you a revised quote showing 'Price Match applied'. You then reserve at that price. A price match applies to our quote only. We do not refund or credit amounts on a booking that is already reserved or paid.

How we check a quote

We use the same checklist for every claim, and our written decision tells you which items did not match:

  1. Is it a quote? Written, itemized, dated, addressed to you for your event, with a quote or reference number, the business's contact details, the event date, venue and service times, and a stated total. Not an ad, rate card, package graphic, screenshot or estimate.
  2. Is it current? It is dated within the last 30 days, has not expired if it states an expiration date, and matches any contract the business issued for the same event.
  3. Is the business qualified? A mobile bartending business with a current business license.
  4. Same event? Same date, location, guest count and service hours.
  5. Same crew? Same number and roles of bartenders and servers. (A rate for a smaller event, or for fewer bartenders than your event needs, isn't comparable.)
  6. Same scope? Comparable menu breadth, ingredient quality tier, bar setup and event management.
  7. Same protection? The current certificate of insurance you attached shows at least our standard coverage (general liability $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate, workers' compensation as required by law, auto liability including hired and non-owned vehicles). If you sent us your venue's written insurance requirements, the certificate meets them, including liquor liability insurance if the venue requires it, in which case it is itemized in both quotes. If the certificate is missing, only this item fails, and you may resubmit once.
  8. Alcohol out? Alcohol itemized separately, so we can remove it.
  9. Same price basis? Every mandatory fee and service charge included, gratuities, tips and crew charges left out of both quotes, before tax and before any ACH, domestic wire, check or cash payment discount on either side.

Limits

  • One claim per event. We match a qualifying quote once. A quote does not qualify if it is itself a price match or beat-our-price offer, or if its price is conditioned on, or calculated from, our price or any other business's price (for example, "we beat any quote by 5%"). If our written decision lists items that did not meet these terms, you may send one corrected quote or document that fixes those listed items, and we review it the same way. A lower price is not a correction. After that, we may, but are not required to, review further quotes for the same event. If we decline, we will tell you in writing within 3 business days.
  • A price match cannot be combined with any other discount, courtesy, waiver, promotion, credit or corporate terms. The ACH, domestic wire, check and cash payment discount is not one of these: it applies to your matched price. If more than one of the others applies, we apply the one that gives you the lower price.
  • We may verify any quote with the business that issued it, or ask for the original file or email. A certificate is the business's own evidence of its coverage; we do not confirm coverage. A false or altered quote or certificate ends the claim.
  • For every claim we review, we decide in good faith, using only the criteria on this page.
  • We don't promise the lowest price in the market, only a match to a qualifying quote.

Price Match is a pre-booking offer. It is not part of the Service Agreement and gives no right to a refund, credit or price change once a Reservation Request has been submitted.
